Altıntel Seaport and Terminal was established in 1985 at Dilovası - Gebze, for storing liquid chemical products. Arkem Chemicals, a leading distributor in Turkey, which first started to lease the tanks in 1992, bought Altıntel in May 2008 and since then has heavily invested in expanding and modernizing the terminal. As of today, Altıntel owns a 120.000 sqm area and 53 wide tanks with sizes varying between 300 m3 and 1560 m3.
