is high. These can be listed as H<sub>2<\/sub>S, methyl mercaptane, dimethyl sulfide, ammonia, trimethyl amine fatty acid odors and aldehydes.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cleaning odor components formed as a result of biological processes in wastewater treatment plants<\/li>\n<li>Reduce chemical consumption and provide a design that can be applied even in facilities with limited area.<\/li>\n<li>To provide efficient operation of biological treatment processes in the aeration units<\/li>\n<li>Used to achieve energy and operational efficiency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Biogas Purification System<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Biogas has emerged as a notable renewable energy source, playing a substantial role in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and the support of a sustainable energy future<strong>. <\/strong>However, the raw form of biogas frequently contains impurities that can limit its application and compromise equipment performance. Among these impurities, hydrogen sulfide (H<sub>2<\/sub>S) poses a substantial problem due to its corrosive nature and the potential for environmental degradation.<\/p>\n<p>Biological scrubbers use microorganisms to oxidize H<sub>2<\/sub>S to elemental sulfur or sulfate. This method is environmentally friendly and cost-effective in the long process as it avoids the use of chemical reagents. Biological scrubbers are particularly suitable for large-scale biogas plants with a continuous H<sub>2<\/sub>S. However, they require careful monitoring and control of environmental conditions such as temperature and pH to maintain microbial activity.<\/p>\n<p>Clean biogas contains more methane, increasing combustion efficiency and energy output. For biogas plant operators, this improvement translates directly into improved performance and lower operating costs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Geothermal Energy Power Plant<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Geothermal power plants use hot water and water vapor from the ground to generate energy. However, these geothermal fluids are not just water and vapor; they can contain dissolved gases such as H<sub>2<\/sub>S, mercaptans, and to a lower extent, CO<sub>2<\/sub>.<\/p>\n<p>These gases can be cleaned using bioscubbers, which is a more environmentally friendly approach than chemical scrubbing and thermal oxidation systems.<\/p>\n<p>However, the temperature of the dirty gas coming from geothermal plants is extremely high. In order for the microorganisms to survive in the bioscrubber scrubbing system, this temperature is first reduced below 40\u00b0C using a condenser.<\/p>\n<p>H<sub>2<\/sub>S gas can be cleaned biologically with 95-99% efficiency without producing chemical waste.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chemical and Petrochemical Industries<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Both industries involve processes that release H2S, ammonia, VOCs and other harmful gases. These gases must be cleaned in accordance with established environmental and safety standards. The use of bioscrubbers can provide a more sustainable and economical solution for cleaning these pollutants. The types of pollutant gases released by industries are generally as follows.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Crude Oil Refining, Gas Processing, Sulfur Recovery Units<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Hydrogen Sulfide (H\u2082S)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Solvent Based Manufacturing, Polymerization Processes <\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Storage Tanks, Filling Systems<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Gasoline Vapors (Hydrocarbon Derivatives)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Plastics, Fertilizer and Synthetic Fiber Production<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ammonia (NH\u2083)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Oil Refineries, Gas Processing Plants <\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mercaptans (R-SH)<\/p>\n<p>Similar to other sectors, the temperature of the system to be used in the bioscrubber should be brought to the optimum living conditions of the bacteria. Then the bacteria are selected according to the type of pollutant, and the cleaning process is carried out.<\/p>\n<p>The use of bioscrubber in these sectors is preferred due to its advantages, such as low cost, low chemical consumption and multiple pollutant removal at the same time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Food and Beverage Industry<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the food industry, odors are caused by a variety of conditions, including raw material processing and process reactions.
