AMINE REGENERATION PACKAGE

Efficient Rich Amine Reconcentration System

ERGIL manufactures skid-mounted amine regeneration packages that restore lean amine by removing absorbed H₂S and CO₂ through thermal stripping. These integrated systems combine regenerator column, reboiler, heat recovery, and controls delivering efficient solution reconcentration for continuous gas sweetening operations.

Package Components and Process

Complete skid systems include regenerator column with stripping trays or packing, reboiler providing heat duty via steam or fired heating, reflux condenser recovering amine vapors, lean/rich heat exchanger reducing energy consumption, flash separator removing hydrocarbons, circulation pump, filtration, and PLC control panel. Rich amine enters mid-column flowing downward while rising steam strips acid gases. Reboiler heats solution to 115-125°C generating stripping steam without thermal degradation. Overhead vapor containing acid gas flows to condenser where amine condenses and returns as reflux while concentrated acid gas exits for disposal.

Energy-Efficient Design

Heat exchange between hot lean and cold rich amine recovers 70-85% of thermal energy substantially reducing reboiler fuel consumption. This proven heat integration improves operating economics with typical energy savings of 30-40% compared to systems without recuperation. ERGIL optimizes heat recovery equipment sizing balancing capital investment against lifecycle operating costs, ensuring maximum efficiency while maintaining reliable performance across varying process conditions.

Reboiler and Control Systems

Fire tube reboilers use natural gas or diesel burners providing utility independence. Steam reboilers employ plant steam where available. Automated PLC control manages reboiler temperature, reflux rates, level controls, and safety interlocks. Temperature monitoring optimizes stripping efficiency while preventing amine degradation. Remote monitoring capabilities provide operational data supporting predictive maintenance and performance optimization.

Applications and Standards

Serves natural gas sweetening, refinery hydrogen purification, syngas treating, and biogas upgrading across upstream, midstream, and downstream operations. Handles MEA, DEA, MDEA solutions with circulation rates 5-500 GPM. Equipment designed per ASME Section VIII and API standards with full code compliance. Materials selected for corrosive amine service per NACE requirements. Factory testing validates performance before shipment.

Acid Gas Handling

Overhead acid gas routes to flare systems, sulfur recovery units, or injection wells depending on concentration and regulatory requirements. ERGIL engineers complete disposal solutions meeting environmental standards while minimizing emissions and operational costs.

ERGIL regeneration packages deliver reliable amine reconcentration with proven technology, energy-efficient operation, and comprehensive engineering support from design through commissioning for optimal gas treating system performance.
