TRIETHYLENE GLYCOL (TEG) TANK & PUMP SKID

Glycol Storage, Make-Up and Circulation in One Skid

Ergil builds triethylene glycol tank and pump skids that store, condition and circulate TEG for natural gas dehydration. The skid supplies lean glycol to the contactor, receives make-up glycol and keeps the circulating inventory clean and dry. Tank, pumps, filters and instruments are assembled and tested at the factory for fast installation next to the glycol dehydration unit.

TEG Service

TEG absorbs water from natural gas in the contactor. Regeneration in the reboiler returns lean glycol to the system. The tank and pump skid sits between regeneration and absorption.

Skid Components

Lean glycol surge tank, circulation pumps, make-up pump, glycol filters, suction strainers, heating coil, piping, valves and instruments. Drip pan and lifting lugs on the frame.

Glycol Tank

Horizontal or vertical vessel sized for circulation hold-up and make-up storage. Retention time set by process. Fuel gas or nitrogen blanket keeps air and moisture out. Level gauge and high/low level alarms.

Circulation Pumps

Duty and standby pumps. Reciprocating plunger pumps for high pressure contactors. Centrifugal pumps for lower pressure. Electric motors for general service, gas-driven options where power is limited.

Glycol Quality

Lean TEG purity commonly 98.5–99.9 wt%. Solid and carbon-type contaminants are removed by filters. Dry blanket gas protects TEG from absorbing moisture and oxidizing.

Temperature Control

Heating coil or heat tracing keeps TEG pumpable in cold weather. Insulation and temperature switches protect from overheating.

Materials

Carbon steel for lean glycol. Stainless steel for wetted pump parts and filter housings when glycol is hot or contaminated. Compatible seals for glycol service.

Applications

Wellhead dehydration, gas gathering stations, compressor stations, gas plants, LNG pre-treatment and FPSO topsides.

Instrumentation and Control

Pump status and discharge pressure, tank level, filter differential pressure, glycol flow. Interlocks for low level pump trip. Local panel or DCS connection.

Construction Standards

ASME Section VIII tank design, ASME B31.3 piping, pumps to API 674 or API 610 where specified, NACE materials for sour gas, hydrotest and FAT.

Ergil TEG tank and pump skids keep glycol dehydration units running with stable circulation, clean glycol and low maintenance, so gas meets water dew point specifications.
